Steve is a long time WordPress user and developer having first started using WordPress around 15 years ago shortly after it was first released. He's written a number of WordPress plugins, some themes (though they were never released to the public) and made some significant changes to WordPress core through the use of mu-plugins for various sites. Steve is more of a backend programmer though, and relies on WordPress themes from third parties to make the sites look good these days.
